The Scapegoat

As England prepares for the coronation in 1952, this movie tells the story of two very different men who have one thing in common - a face. John Standing meets his doppelganger Johnny Spence and, after a boozy night, they swap lives. Standing is suddenly responsible for a crumbling stately home, a failing business, two mistresses, a wife and a precocious daughter. Although he initially tries to escape, he is increasingly drawn into Spence's world.
